SAM SMALL - WRITER
I first saw the Pindrop Band in July 2002 at Failand village hall.
I was amazed at the range of musical styles those guys have at their
disposal. There was blues, jazz, rock, folk and a lot more besides
- and it all blended to make a musical experience unlike any other
I've seen. The band's insistence on silence for the acoustic instruments
was set against the informal breaks where soup and jacket potatoes
were served for free. The Pindrop Club is a social event with great
music thrown in for good measure. I loved it. You couldn't travel
too far to see them. |
